American companies are losing money everyday when potentially recyclable plastics are shipped out of the country; particularly to Asia. These valuable materials continue to be exported because U.S. environmental laws make it difficult for many of the companies that currently purchase post-consumer dirty plastic to clean these materials themselves and legally discharge the wastewater generated during the washing process. This has been true until now.

Washing and reclamation of polyethylene terephthalate plastic (PET, such as used water and soda containers) is being performed in the U.S., in an environmentally friendly and cost effective way, by teaming two pieces of New Earth Systems’ proprietary equipment – the patent-pending Washing Elution Rotary Machine, or WERM™ unit, which cleans dirty PET, and the patented Centrofier™ unit, which cleans the wastewater generated by the washing process. Along with some “off-the-shelf” equipment, these two proprietary systems comprise a complete Turnkey Plastics Recycling Plant, or T-PReP™ System.
